Meet the Principal

Meet the Principal
Mr. Rowe has been with Victor Elementary School District since November of 2015, becoming Principal at Sixth Street Prep. He started his career in education by substitute teaching for Barstow High School, before making the transition to a Spanish teacher at Serrano High School for eight years. He says once he began teaching he just “knew it was the right thing” for him. While teaching at Serrano High School he also began working with the PBIS team, leading him to more administrative work. This experience prompted him to later branch out to becoming an Assistant Principal in Palmdale for two years, before making the transition to Principal at Sixth Street Prep.
Mr. Rowe attended Barstow High School where he played soccer for all four years. Initially after graduation he began going to college to be a computer programmer. However, during this time he was also working at a foundry in Norwalk, which offered him an opportunity to take a translation class. It was during this time that he realized his interest in language and from there changed his major. Mr. Rowe received a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language and Literature from Cal State San Bernardino and has received a Master’s Degree from Azusa Pacific University in Educational Leadership. In his free time, Mr. Rowe has coached soccer, football, and golf and he enjoys playing table tennis, soccer and golf.
